- NATIVE INSTRUMENTS SERVICE CENTER PRODUCT ACTIVATION SOFTWARE
Six days now since I contacted technical support in California and I still have no activation resolution despite several phone calls and emails. But as I read this thread, I understand I may have to wait a little longer before I can activate my VSTi's again.
NATIVE INSTRUMENTS SERVICE CENTER PRODUCT ACTIVATION REGISTRATION
Yesterday I used the form for Registration Support to ask for a solution. Only Absynth and E-Piano 1.1 are still waiting for activation now, while working in demo-mode for only 28 days.

E-Piano 1.5 initialy gave some troubles but was accepted after a few tries (maybe my fault.?) they accepted the activation on the new system. Then I started activating the NI-software. Steinberg, Waves, Celemony, Arturia, Audi Ease, Korg, E-mu, Bornemark, AraldFX.
NATIVE INSTRUMENTS SERVICE CENTER PRODUCT ACTIVATION SOFTWARE
Went to the shop to buy an extra mainboard, a case, PSU etc and builded a second PC with those parts to run as a network slave with FX-Teleport.Īll software installed well. So, I decided to build a second system with my spare Duo Core and 2GB of DDR2. The Quad Core CPU still wasn't enough to run my Cubase DAW with lots of VST-instruments and lots of VST-FX. but I still have only one PC with a working Absynth :S This would have been the second legal install. this worked fine, but when I upgraded the CPU (nothing else!). *** I remember I was able to delete these activations myself. CPU blown because of short-cut between temperature sensor and cooler Last year I had to change a few CPUs and Mainboards, for which I had to reactivate. Luckily I upgraded EP 1.1 to 1.5 which activated fine, so I can use that one instead (with sometrouble in older projects) I have problems with Absynth 3 and Elektrik Piano 1.1 In the past I was able to delete activations linked to an old PC, but now I seem to have reached a dead end.

I also joined the club of non-reactivatable products! It also irritates me to think that my pleasure and confidence in using this really wonderful software is being diminished by what ammounts to rather shoddy customer service. It really irritates me to think that pirates are getting far less hassle than those of us who have actually paid for this stuff. Your activation rights cease after x years so spend more or sod off." If there is no response, then I guess that everyone can read that as " Yes, you're right. Of course, I realised that there would come a time when NI would stop updating various parts of it (mainly when they want another wad of cash and decide that a bug fix is an upgrade) but I thought that the package 'as bought' was mine.īut what happens a few years down the line when I swap computers and my activation is 'no longer supported'? Have I bought this product under false pretences? I would be really grateful for a definitive statement ( preferably from NI - are you there?) on this. I was under the impression that it was mine to use forever. I was under the impression that I had BOUGHT (not rented) K4. Good luck!Ĭlick to expand. This really scares me. Hopefully they'll rethink there cumbersome "NI Service Center". It's a shame as the have some fantastic products. Frankly, i can't rely on the majority of my gear/synths being based around NI this point due to there current Activation/Registration interface. They were still waiting for there cars to be re-activated! Kidding aside, I bought a produce the day before i reinstalled my hd and had this issue again. Ooops, maybe that's why i was on hold for 50min+ before hanging up.

Or perhaps they don't have deadlines? Hmmm, maybe the people who work NI could have automobiles on the same system! If they use different gas, buy new tires, or different windshield wipers, they would have to use the amazing "NI Automobile Service" before the car would work again and wait several days. I'm guessing they did not think this through. So I'm in the exact same boat - Brilliant "NI Center SErvice" program, eh? Amazing that this is the system they use for people in film/tv to get there products activated. Hmmm, good luck - i'm currently waiting for my second activation issue to be resolved due to change of hardware.
